I had gone to the hospital at 16 weeks to have my appendix removed, and because of serious dehydration when the doctors diagnosed my twins with twin-to-twin transfussion syndrome. This was on the 22 of December when I was admitted into the hospital. (I was in the hospital for 10 days, found out about TTTS on the 27th of december.) I found on the internet a new research surgery procedure done in Florida to try to reverse the syndrome. On January 12th, I flew from New Mexico to Florida in order to have the process done on the 13th. It was successful, but not promising. I waited a month, going to ultrasounds once a week to check up on everything. I am happy to say that my boyfriend and I got a wonderful Valentine's Day gift, the month had passed, and both girls are very active and healthy. Now, I wait, everyday, until the arrival of my beautiful baby girls... worrying each day with the thought of still losing one, or both. The thing that gets me is that no one ever tells the survival of both twins, only one, or not even that. I would feel so much more comfort in knowing that there are people that have survived this horrible thing. Please, write me with a happy story!Love,
