I have 6 month old b/g twins. Kaitlyn is doing well, with only some mild reflux problems. However, Austin has reflux and some other feeding problems, causing him to aspirate. Has anyone else ever had a video swallow test done, revealing that their child cannot drink liquids?

We now have to thicken all liquids (formula and juice) with 1 tablespoon of rice cereal for each ounce of liquid. Stage 2 babyfood is okay, but all stage 1 food also must be thickened.

The doctor says he may outgrow it, but that if he does not it may indicate either some neurological damage or some problems with the central nervous system. Has anyone else ever dealt with this? If so, did it turn out okay?

We have this too with Collin (nine months). But is outgrowing this. He had a series of test done and they even were telling us he may have CP and then suddenly it was like "okay he is normal". It was an emotional rollercoaster and all those tests for NOTHING. We have found that Delmonte makes a thicker rice than Beechnut.
