I have 4 month old twin girls. They are fraternal twins and are georgeous !!! I am a biased mother of course. During the day when my husband is at work, I am finding that they are sleeping less and less. They are getting older I know and should be more alert now, but sometimes I feel like I just want to run away and hide, because they just wont sleep !!! They will cat nap all day for about a half an hour each and then be really exhausted by the time dad gets home from work. I've tried bathing them and filling them up with more milk, but to no avail. They just love attention from me and to be around me all the time. I wouldn't mind so much, but nothing gets done !!! Does anyone have any advise or even if someone else out there is going through the same thing I'd appreciate hearing from you just for someone to talk to about it.

hi, I am also a mother of 4 month twin g/b. And there are days when one sleeps for hours and the other is up for hours. Which is alot of fun when I think I'm going to get some peace and some house work done one falls asleep and like clock work one closes there eyes and the other opens them. I have different things to put my babies in when they are awake like the bounce seat, the rocker seat, the saucer and the two johnny jumpers i have set up. I also try to keep them in different rooms throught the day to give them a different setting so they don't get so bored. Also, when they are both calm I try laying them together on a blanket in front of the TV for a little while they love to watch the wiggles and jo jo circus with my 3 year old. And believe it or not my 3 year old can also be a source of entertainment for the twins when he plays with them or just when he notices one of them crying he will help try to calm them down. It can get crazy but i notice if i try different things something will work sooner or later...

My boys are 3mths now and I have stopped with the scheduled feedings. One reason was no one was getting any sleep!! they sleep so much during the day waking 3-4 hours to eat and back to sleep. They are staying awake more these days. However at night I just hate having to get up....so I let them eat when they are hungry Kaleb eats 5-6oz I'd say every 4-5 hrs. The at 12am he eats his last bottle for the night and he doesn't wake up until 7:30am-8am. So we got him slepping all night.

Kendel on the other hand is a different story he still sleeps a lot during the day, but now he's starting to stay awake longer also. He only eats 2-3ozs at a time and depending on how much eats he will wake more frequently for feedings. Him sleeping all night is no where in the picture, but it's okay since I don't have to worry about Kaleb.

Those periods during the day when they are awake my soon to be 4yr old is all over them entertaining until they decided they want to be picked up and I have to stop whatever I'm doing to settle them down. i think right now is the easy part once they start walking it will be all over!!!!

Hi I have 5 month old boy/girl twins. We still haven't gotten the hang of daytime naps. Every so often I get them both to take a nap at the same time. My daughter however seems to require less sleep during the day so a lot of the time I only have 30 to 45 minutes. I have started to put them both down after lunch. I am hoping that works. Good luck to everyone out there dealing with this!

My twins are almost four months old. One wakes up four times a night to eat! The other just two. One sleeps for two long naps during the day and the other cat naps. Me and my husband are going nuts. I can relate. You are not alone at all!

I have 10 month old b/g twins and they have been sleeping throught the night for a while now. My daughter was 6 weeks old and my son was 8 weeks old when they started sleeping 7-8 hours a night. A friend had recommended the book, "On Becoming Babywise", to me to get them started on a feeding, napping, and bedtime schedule. It worked for me, so it might be worth a try. Once my son started teething though he started getting up at night again when he was in pain. My daughter is still doing good. She sleeps about 10 hours a night and they both take 2 naps during the day.
