My wife just had her 12 week ultrasound and the Doctor noticed that one Twin was at 12.4 weeks while the other was at 11 weeks. As far as size goes. They apparantly are worried about the difference, but think that both healthy hearbeats is positive. Does anyone out there have any history, or information regarding this. They are fraternal twins

hi my name is sally and i live in england i found out yesterday that i am expecting twins as my name suggests i wasnt expecting this i am only 6 weeks gone and i also was told that one twin was bigger than the other one is 5mm and one is 7mm they didnt seem worried and said it was quite normal i to wouldnt mind some reasurance on the whole being pregnant with twins issue.

I am a mother of faternal twin boys they are 8 months now and I had the same problem during my pregnancy Kadon was growing while Devon was not growing as fast I had alot of ultrasounds to make sure that the weights did not go further apart but at 34 weeks they both were not growing very well any more so they induced my labor at 34 weeks .Kadon weighed 4'pounds 3oz and Devon was only 2'11 turns out there was nothing wrong with either one of them the placenta's were fine and so were the cords they are still not sure why except that there wasn't anymore room .It is pretty common for this to happen in twin's with modern science docters are able to keep track of things better and make decisions they feel are right at the time .They needed no oxegen they ate from day one and left the hospital shortly after that devon left only weighing 3 pounds the smallest baby they ever let leave that hospital...good luck and take care
