Probably pretty small. My wife is pregnant, and I hope so much that she has two fetuses in there (We will not be able to know until a couple more weeks or so). If not, I'll be alright with one (less diapers to change!).

hmm, I don't know what John is talking about. My mother is a registered nurse and happens to know that people who are born as a multiple, or even have multiples in the immidiate bloodline, are dramatically more likely to give birth to multiples themselves.

Actually, this statement is incorrect. Fraternal twins (2 eggs released at the same time) can be passed through generations as it is just releaseing multiple eggs. Idential twins are not hereditary. It is unknown what causes the egg to split. Identical twins are no more likely or unlikey to have identical twins than anyone else.

Hi I'm new to this site, as well as to the idea of having twins. I just found out on 8-12-04 that I am having twins, I am due March 13, 2005. Twins run in my family and my husbands. I have 5 children already 3 boys, and 2 girls, I'm hoping for at least one girls in these twins. Any how I really don't know much about twins, I do know that I am in huge need of a lot of things, clothes, diapers, wipes, car seats, etc. If there is ANY ONE ANY WHERE who could help me out, (not just with baby supplies) but with advice, tips, etc, I would very greatly appreciate it. Thank you for listening to me hope to hear from some one soon.Debra Davis P.O.Box 54 Diana, WV 26217 please feel free to write

I am pregnant with twin girls...with a due date of Oct. 8th. I can't imagine going that long....but that's the estimation. Anyway...I found out that having fraternal twins is hereditary..based on the WOMAN. Men release sperm...but it's the woman's responsibility to have the two eggs. Point: It doesnt matter how many twins are on his side... Deb...if you'd like to email..I would be happy to discuss the ins/outs ups/downs of the twin pregnancy. I never imagined that I could be this big!! I'm new here...and am surprised to find that there isn't a lot of support for parents-of-twins to be. Am I missing something?
