Hey everyone, I'm Liz, and I am a fraternal twin with my brother Chris. I have been reading up on twins and the differences between fraternals and identicals, and most articles and research say that identicals are closer. They even say that boy/girl fraternal pairs have the least closness out of all twin combonations. I disagree. My brother and I are closer than other twins that I know, even more so than a few identical pairs I am friends with. We share a special bond, and I don't think it matters whether we are identical or fraternal. What do you guys think?

Yes, I feel the same way. My brother will always put on this 'i don't love my sister' act, but he's told me he does. It's not that we don't love eachother, it's that mot siblings deny it, just becuase they don't want to admit it in front of other people. It's just ho wit works, but really, he is and has been one of my best friends.

I don't have a twin brother, but I have a fraternal twin sister. And we are closer than all the other twins I know also. I think we're closer because we are so different.

Ya, that makes sense if you are different you are less likely to compete for attention and being "better" at something. I have friends that are identical twins and always compete to be the smartest and stuff. Because we have different interests my brother and I don't get competeative.
