Twin loss is the one thing twins never want to think about and when it happens it is so unbelievable. Yet, it is as inevitable as anything on this earth. I lost my twin 7 years ago to an asthma attack and was devastated beyond words. Perry and I discussed it when we were young. He would not want to go on if I were to go first and I would not want to go first and leave him all alone. I am so glad he did not have to go through this much pain. To say that I feel like I lost half of myself does not begin to describe the feelings. I am doing much better now, thanks to meeting other twins through the twinless twins support group. If you have lost a twin, I urge you to seek other twinless.

As owner of the yahoo group, I have known many twins and have seen depression take it's toll way too many times. I have made it my life goal to make sure that no twin has to go through this alone.
With twin love to all twins everywhere,
Terry, twin to Perry

Thankfully I haven't lost my twin. However, just today one of a set of twins in my town died in a car accident. I wasn't close friends with her. I actually knew her twin better. But both my twin and I were very upset by the event. Maddy and I are so close and even though we were both crying and so upset we couldn't voice how sad we'd be if we lost each other.
