Hi everyone,

Do you and your twin stay together in school? Are you in the same class?

Me & Isabella have always been in the same class and although our teachers try to seperate us, we still say we want to stay together. It feels like there's half of me missing if we're not together....does anyone else get this?

Yeah I do. Me and my twins are in the same classes but thats only bc they do the scheduals alphabetically (cant spell), but if they didnt we might complain that we want to be in the same classes, bc well, it's true, I can't be seperated for more than a day especially with Erick.

This is Kirk speaking becaue my brother is not as good at writing. We are in the same 2nd grade homeroom at school, but my brother, Sky, needs special classes. He is there most of the day, which is why we look forward to coming home so we can be together. I hate being away from my twin!!! Sky is always there for me. Thanx for being there Sky!!!

hi I have two identical twin girls that are 5.They both started kindergarden when they were 4 yrs old.One is doing real good while the other is having trouble in speech. She is with a tudor now. Her teacher is holding her back while the other twin Pams teacher refuses to hold her back... Do you think it would be traumatic to them to hold one back and not the other... what are your suggestions for me... I need help!

I have 7 yr old b/g twins. The boy is really having a hard time with reading. The teachers have requested that he be held back. But his twin she will and has no problems in school. My husband feels they or rather he will suffer more if he is held back. I totally understand but I don't want him to go on if he has to strugle again next year. I'm tornen on what to do. In Texas we have a mandatory TAKS test they must take @ the beginning of 3rd and in 2nd they do not allow for time to refresh what is needed to move on. Is there any twins out there or any advice? Help I can't stand to argue with my husband!!!!!!!!!

hi there.
my name is tyler, and im a quadruplet. two girls (myself and Emma) and two boys(Brett and Leo). we would have been triplets, however one of the three fertilized eggs split and thats how me and my sis ended up as two identical twins instead of one lol. Brett and Leo are fraternal tho. there was never talk about holding any of us back, we all progressed at the same pace, and are all sophomores in highschool at the moment. however my friends twin brother was held back when they were in elementary school, so now one of them is a freshman in highschool and the other is still in eighth grade at the middle school. for the first year that we were friends, i didn't even know that he had a twin.
i don't think you should split up your twins. its simply, weird in my mind. i think that the best thing to do would be to hold both back to give one that extra year to catch up. especially if they are young, it wont hurt.
hope this was helpful, best of luck

That happened to us. We always said that we would NEVER be seperated into different classes!! Our mom had to beg the principle to let us stay in the same class...then as we got older and had to switch classes we found that it was easier. It was easier to consantrate because we werent constantly thinking about eachother and what we were doing. It was also easier because the teachers and students werent accusing us of cheating on tests (we always score the same on tests for some strange reason) Try it out for a year!!

twin.cyutiez -

That's so wierd that you and your twin always score the same on tests. My sister and I did that in shcool too. The really funny part was that we'd miss different answers, but still get the same overall score!

Hi! We're new here, hehe...
We prefer being in the same classes and having the same schedule, and usually we can manage to get the same classes. But last year there was one semester when some of our classes were different and it was unfair because the teachers were different and some were nicer than others. But in the end, despite getting different grades, our averages over-all were the same anyway.
It's not that we can't concentrate in class when we're apart, because we can, it's just that it's a whole lot harder.

Hey I'm new here. But I always hated being in seperate classes from my twin. In middle school we weren't allowed to have classes together and we were both so miserable. SO my mom forced the school to let us be in the same classes. So much better! Now we're in high school and some classes we have together and others we don't. It works out well, but I miss her when I don't see her for a long time.
Also I don't think you should split up twins into 2 different grades. I would be so upset if that happened to me.

Being twins at school... Well, for starters, some people are often intimidated by us, sometimes because they are envious of us, and sometimes because, well, we're twins.

However, we were not brought up together. For budget reasons, my parents sent my twin off to live with my aunt and uncle (very nice people) in Sacramento, and in seventh grade we met, thanks to some conniving by my uncle and my mum. So that's a bit different, but it's as close as I can get.

There are pros and cons to being twins at school, especially with the same schedule.

Pros:
-More bonding (this goes doubly so for us)
-It's a bit more fun
-Grades are often improved for no reason whatsoever.
-PE is great fun.

Cons:
-Teachers are sometimes intimidated, as are students
-It can get a bit uncomfortable sometimes, doubly so if both of you are wearing the same clothes

I experienced this when I was 6. Our first grade teacher believed that if twins were left together, they would grow to be too competitive. My mother urged her to keep us together because we were twins AND because we were adopted. We didn't know anyone else except each other. Eventually my mother understood that this teacher would not listen to reason and forced the school administration to move us to another classroom where we could be together without being scolded. We ended up in a classroom where three sets of twins were! One of the best moves in my educational career by far.

There a good and a bad side to this. The one thats doing well in school, if you hold her back, she will be learning the same exact thing all over again. Then your son, might progress or might go through the same experience. Because, sometimes holding a child back isnt always the most sufficient answer. It could slow him/her down. But in your case, you should keep your daugher back with your son, sure it might seem a little frusturating to see her being held back too but, in some ways (even though she is already currently accelling) it could help her learn the material even better in the long run. Plus if your son, starts to get the material too, she can always be some form of help for him. Then they both, in the end can move on to the next round -together. Which is the most important part, because, really, they are each others best friend.

Thanks,
Aca and Miranda ( 16 y.o/Mirror Idenitcal Twin Girls)

most of the time i wish me and my twin were seperated at school. i have almost all of my classes with amanda though. i really wish people would realize that we are two different people instead of us just being twins. i want people to see who i really am instead of them just seeing me as amanda's twin. i am nothing like amanda though.

Hi Katie, Im sixteen years old and in College with my identical twin sister, Aca. Yeah, I know 16...and in college? Kinda hard to believe but we graduated two years early...we didnt need to take any more classes. But as time goes by you'll want to spend more time with ur twin, but right now your independent...and u should look at that as a good thing.

--------------------

If ever did n e thing wrong with Aca and i both in the same class, our teachers would never know who did what...I was always say "Dont look at me! My sister's the graceful one!"

I always had class with my twin. We even had a teacher try and split us a part in 1st grade, but my mother insisted we stay together. I truly think that we wouldn't have succeeded academically and spiritually without one another in the classroom.
