Hello,

I am a male fraternal twin. My twin is female. Both of us have experienced debilitating depression since an early age. Is this common amongst twins? My doctors and relatives are perplexed since I don't seem to respond to their treatments in the way expected. Do other twins have this experience?

Hi. I am an identical twin. Both female. My twin and I don't have problems with depression and throughout out 32 years have never heard of your situation within twins. I hope you find something to help you out.

Doug,

Does your sister respond to those treatments that you DON'T respond to? Or are you both perplexing the doctors?

My sister and I have a functional depression, but it runs so strongly in our family that no one has ever suggested that it might be because of our multipleness.

Peggy
